SSC CGL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Once you fulfil the above eligibility criteria. The following shows the academic qualification for various posts that you are applying for:

Candidates should have a graduate degree.

Candidates, who pursue in the final year of graduation can also apply for SSC CGL with their provisional degrees.

A) Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer

Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics

B) Junior Statistical Officer

Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level

OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the core subjects at degree level.

 

SSC CGL 2020 ELIGIBILITY

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2020-2021 demands from a candidate to have a Bachelor’s degree in any aspect from a renowned educational university/institution. Therefore, the SSC CGL Eligibility criteria are different for different categories according to the SSC CGL Notification.

SSC CGL 2020 EXAM PATTERN

In advance to prepare yourself to give your best, we provide you the pattern for SSC CGL 2020 examination, which will be conducted in 4 different levels known as tiers. Tier-I and Tier-II exam will be objective type multiple choice questions which is conducted online. Tier-III is a pen and paper mode of examination which includes a descriptive paper in both English and Hindi. Tier-IV is basically a Computer Proficiency Test which is designed in a way to test the candidate’s skills in Computer.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 1

Tier 1 is conducted in online mode holding a weight of 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes (80 minutes for PwD)

Tier 1 has 4 sections (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension) each having 25 questions.

Each question holds a weight of 2 marks while negative marking of 0.5 marks is done for every incorrect answer.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 2

Any candidate can appear for Tier II only after they qualify Tier I

Tier II is also conducted in online mode with 500 questions. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes (160 minutes for PwD)

Tier II has 4 sections namely Quantitative Abilities, English Language & Comprehension, Statistics and General Studies having 100, 200, 100 and 100 questions respectively.

Each correct answer is awarded 2 marks while the incorrect answer is marked negatively. For every incorrect answer, -1/2 mark is deducted.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 3

SSC CGL Tier 3 is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper mode).

It is a descriptive paper in English or Hindi.

The exam involves the writing of essay or precis writing/ letter or application

This exam holds a weight of 100 marks.

The duration of the exam is 60 minutes (80 minutes for PwD)

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 4

Tier 4 is either a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), DEST or Document Verification.

For Assistant Section Officer in CSS and MEA Post, Tier 4 is a computer proficiency test.

For Tax Assistant Post, Tier 4 is a data entry skill test
